TLU 2 (TANKER LOADING UNIT 1)

A catenary anchor 6 lagged SPM used mainly as the loading berth for Cusiana Crude Oil exportation and is also eventually used for loading Cupiagua Crude Oil.

Water Depth is 30m at the berth.
3 x 16in ANSI 150 B16.5 / 150 Flanged Hoses on tanker's port side.
Min 15 Tons S.W.L. Ship's derrick/Crane required on Port Side.
Max. Loading Rate : 60,000 bph.
Topping off Rate : 15,000 bph.
Max height of manifold above sea level is 15.0m.
Max Distance bow to manifold is 140.0m.
Min 15 ton SWL Bow Capstan.
AKD Bow Stopper min 200 SWL, For Chafe Chain " B " ( 76 mm Stud Link Chain).
Bow fairlead(s) require an opening of 600 mm X 450 mm.
Max 5 ppm H2S in the Cargo tanks.
Closed loading capability fully operational.
Wet deck seal type vessels only.
SBT Type vessels Only.
Minimum arrival draft with propeller fully submerged.
Max Stern Trim 0.015L.
Propeller fully submerged.
Full Cert. & Insurances policies must be presented on arrival.
Full compliance with ISGOTT/OCIMF Requirements.

Pre-Arrival Information required for Vessels Loading at TLU2

  • ETA OCENSA - Covenas Terminal Anchorage Area .
  • Arriving/Sailing Drafts.
  • Vessel shall have 3 x 16", ansi 150 connections available on port side .
  • Vessel shall be equiped with AKD bow stoppers for "B" chains (76 mm) .
  • Grade of previous cargo (API).
  • Quantity of permanent segregated ballast.
  • Position of permanent segregated ballast.
  • Last port of call.
  • Destination.
  • High level / overfill alarms tested within 24 hrs before operation.
  • Inert Gas System shall be fully operational and cargo tanks inerted
  • Oxygen level in cargo tanks / pressure in the tanks
  • Cargo requirements in G.S.V.
  • Requested maximun loading rate
  • Requested topping-off rate
  • Summer deadweight (SDWT) as certified in the Safety Construction Certificate
  • VHF Radio at cargo control room shall be fully operative
  • SCAC Code asigned (if applicable)
  • Consignor/consignee owners instructions
  • Captain's name
  • Number of cargo tanks
